Working with rocky Bel Air ground on a waterfall build
Bel Air sits up in the Piedmont, and it is common to hit rock a foot or two down. Some contractors see that as a problem. For a waterfall, it is often a head start: the slope is already there, and we can shape the falls around what the ground gives us instead of trucking in a fake hill.
A backyard waterfall installation on a slope usually needs the grade around it held in place. We build retaining walls for Bel Air hillsides that frame the water and stop the soil from creeping into it.
